Module 3 Summary

Module 3 prepares students and educators to respectfully observe immigration court proceedings as part of the Justice in View initiative. It explains what observers can expect inside immigration courts, how hearings are structured, and how to plan a visit—from what to wear and bring to how to read daily court dockets. The module also emphasizes professionalism, ethical boundaries, and safety, including how to interact appropriately in court and how to observe without interfering in legal processes. Recognizing that court observation can be powerful and emotionally challenging, it encourages reflection, self‑care, and support.
